Vox in a Box - Session Vocals
What are session vocals?

Traditionally, hiring a session vocalist meant finding a professional singer geographically near enough to come to your recording studio and arranging a session to record the vocal tracks that you need. This can cost hundreds of pounds/dollars/euros and it's also time consuming. It can often result in vocals you're not completely happy with because of the cost and time constraints involved.
Or maybe you produce music in your home studio? Having professional vocals will give your tracks an edge and make them stand out against your competitors.
Now you can hire a virtual session vocalist and have professional vocals for all your tracks, without ever leaving your home or studio. You can have professional vocals no matter where you're located in the world. For more information on how it works, read below, or feel free to get in touch to discuss your music in detail.
How does it work?
1 - Decide

Consider what you want the vocals on your track to sound like. Do you have samples of other vocal tracks that you like? What emotions do you want to come across? What do you want your listeners to feel? The feel of the vocals can be changed to match your track perfectly.
Do you need lyrics and melody to be written for your track? The samples page contains samples that were written (as well as recorded) by Vox in a Box. We can also sing the lyrics and melody that you provide.
2 - Discuss

Get in touch and you'll receive a response within 24 hours, guaranteed. We can chat about your track and discuss what you're looking for, how you'd like to proceed, and also discuss contracts and session fees. There's no obligation to move ahead with anything until you're ready, and we're happy to work within any deadlines that you may have.
3 - You retain all copyright

The music industry can be a legal minefield, but you'll be 100% protected. You sign a short standard contract that entitles you to complete copyright over the vocals that are recorded for you. You pay a one-time fee and the vocals are yours to keep.
4 - Record
When you decide to go ahead, you'll be asked to send the following information: |
5 - Tweaks

The vocals will be recorded using professional equipment in a sound-treated room and an initial version will be sent to you for your approval. We can then discuss any tweaks that you'd like and the vocals will be adjusted as necessary.
6 - Final Take

When the vocals have been finalised, they will be provided via email as raw .wav or .aiff files.
Final payment will be taken and you will be the legal owner of the professional vocals for your music.
