Vox in a Box - Home

What's Vox in a Box?

Vox in a Box is a way for you to get high-quality session vocals for your audio recordings without having to pay for expensive studio time.

The quality of the lead vocals or backing-harmonies can make or break your track.  Now you can have professional vocals without any of the hassles of hiring and coordinating a studio and vocalist.

Vox in a Box record your vocals in their professional studio, using pro-gear.  High-quality audio files are then emailed across to you.  Singing and spoken word vocals can be provided.

What do I need to provide?

Email or post sheet music or a track with guide vocals and a lyrics sheet.  vocals will be recorded for you.  We'll then discuss any tweaks or changes you need and we'll do these for you, too.

How long does it take?

If sheet music or guide vocals are provided, the whole process takes an average of 5 days.  However, we're happy to work to existing deadlines and it's possible to have completed tracks delivered within hours.

How do you record your vocals?

For recording, we use Logic Express, a FocusRite Saffire and a Neumann TLM 170 large-diaphragm condenser mic. All vocals are recorded in a sound-treated room and provided as 24-bit .wav or .aiff files.

Who owns the copyright?

You pay a one-time fee and you own the copyright to the recorded vocals.  We will sign a simple contract to confirm that you legally remain the copyright owner.
