What's Vox in a Box?

Vox in a Box is a way for you to get high-quality session vocals for your audio recordings without having to pay for expensive studio time. 

The quality of the lead vocals or backing-harmonies can make or break your track.  Now you can have professional vocals without any of the hassles of hiring and coordinating a studio and vocalist.

What do I need to provide?

Email or post sheet music or a track with guide vocals and a lyrics sheet.  I'll record your vocals for you.  We'll then discuss any tweaks or changes and I'll add or change what we discuss.

How long does it take?

If sheet music or guide vocals are provided, the whole process takes an average of 5 days.  I am happy to work to any existing deadlines you may have and have delivered completed tracks within hours.

How do you record your vocals?

I use Logic Express, a FocusRite Saffire and a Neumann TLM 170 large-diaphragm condenser mic. 
All vocals are recorded in a sound-treated room and provided as .wav or .aiff files.

Who owns the copyright?

You pay me a one-time fee and you then own the copyright to the vocals that I record.  We will sign a simple contract to confirm that you legally remain the copyright owner.
